about

Originally a collaboration between Steve solo artist Tony Le Mans, who was at one point part of Prince's camp in Minneapolis. Tony came to LA and wrote two songs with Steve for his album for Warner Bros. Unfortunately the songs were never to be released, Tony in his 20's at the time was tragically killed in a car accident on the 10 freeway in Los Angeles.
Billy Preston was Tony's Godfather, and Steve and Billy met at Tony's funeral in Los Angeles where they made a pact to record and finish the work Tony and Steve had started. Billy sang both songs and added the Hammond B3. Steve and Billy formed a musical bond from that point forth, Billy would cover any organ on Steve's productions until he too passed on. May they both rest in peace.
